Re: [Announce] Rockpool - Pebble daemon for Sailfish

I notice that if I receive a call from a contact, the Pebble shows the contact name, but if it's from someone else it just shows "incoming call". Would it be possible to have it display the number,...

Re: Pure Maps

Neither provider I use seem to understand "starbucks in london" - they both yield nearby starbucks's. However my intent parser (https://github.com/taixzo/saera/blob/saera_sync/guessing.py#L293)...

Re: [Announce] podQast - a queue based podcast player.

I note that podQast does not handle network drops well. In the past few days, I have lost reception twice while the app was doing something - downloading an episode in one case, adding a podcast in...

Re: Pure Maps

Again, that's sort of my issue here; it's a 9-step process that's not very obvious. Contrast to Google Maps:
* Click in box
* Type Starbucks

Or Saera:
* Click in box
* Type "directions to...

Re: Pure Maps

@rinigus I installed the app, but I'm still unclear on how "search" works. I type in "Starbucks" and get ten results, all at least six hundred miles away (the nearest Starbucks is across the street)....

Re: [Announce] podQast - a queue based podcast player.

Huh, how did CuteSpot end up in the Harbour? It has mpris support.

Re: [Announce] podQast - a queue based podcast player.

Looks interesting! I might give it a shot if it ever gets mpris support (which is my main gripe with gPodder).

Re: Maemo-Leste pre-alpha announcement

You can load OSs via multiROM. Which OS to use is selected at boot time.

Re: [WIP] CuteSpotify for Sailfish

If I understand correctly, that still does not allow playing on a Sailfish device, correct?

Re: [DEVEL] Saera: Siri clone for Maemo5, Harmattan and Sailfish OS

Looks like I made a few changes which haven't been backported to Maemo yet, which are causing your startup error. I'll take a look.

Re: New user

Hi branja. Warehouse app no longer works on latest Sailfish; you should instead install Storeman from this link. (https://openrepos.net/content/osetr/storeman)

Re: libhybris will support Android ≥6 devices!

Any info on the Galaxy Tab 4? It's listed on the Adaptations wiki (https://wiki.merproject.org/wiki/Adaptations/libhybris#Tablets) but there's no link to the port itself.

Re: Sailfish Devices in The United States

Right. Jolla Phone in the US is limited to 2G as American telecoms use different frequency for 3G/4G than other countries.
Additionally, Jolla 1 is a GSM phone. For 2G, this means it only works with...

Re: 2.2.0 EA / Mouhijoki

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

For me, fingerprint is useful in that it's more secure than "no passcode", which is usually my default given how often I unlock the phone and how inconvenient other unlock types are (for instance,...

Re: 2.2.0 EA / Mouhijoki

Just updated, and enabled fingerprint unlock. I noticed an inconsistency: if you have it set to lock after a timeout (I set mine to 10 minutes), before that timeout fingerprint unlock doesn't work,...

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

This is important - some USB cables that come with phones are "charging only", i.e. they don't pass through the data lines.

Re: [WIP] CuteSpotify for Sailfish

I haven't used it myself, but I understand Rust can make much better guarantees about memory safety and thread safety than C.
