Re: Touchscreen calibration not right

Your description matches the problem I am having.
The calibration tool seems to make the problem worse sometimes
and better sometimes, but your description of it being linear
is dead on.

I...

Anyone else have problems with the screen calibration tool on the n810?
My screen seems to have 'drifted' off. The 2 left side calibration points(1 and 4) are off. You have to click to the left of...

Re: Phones that work as Modem Poll

I think I am guessing the same you are on Browsing. Latency seems slow especially sites still coded in web 1.0 style with tons of useless small files and ads. I am also thinking MicroB is tweaked to...

Re: Phones that work as Modem Poll

I believe the 3555 is one of 2 3G Phones Tmobile has, so it might be a standard handset but it does have a 3G modem. I have been wanting to test it out, but then again you might be in an area where...

Re: Maemo Mapper crashes on n810

Well I moved them to the removable card(MMC2) in which I have a 4Gb card. I just created a /mmc2/meamomaps/ dir and put all the .db files in here. I did not move the original files when I did this...

Re: Maemo Mapper crashes on n810

Using gconf I removed the Map Rep. and POI db settings and Maemo Mapper now boots. This means I have narrowed down the problem to what I think was causing it. I still want to look at the logs to see...

Battery Life

What is everyone's experience with the n810's battery life. I can't quite figure out the 'rules' to follow, other than its not laptop so close things down if you are not using them. Duh, I know, but...

Re: Download files corrupt? Attrib. to Download Traffic?

For me it seems to be an obvious pattern. The larger the file size the more likely it times out during the download. Alas, I have installed some things but larger things like Python(2.5MB),...

Download files corrupt? Attrib. to Download Traffic?

I finally got the n810 IT2008 update run last night and now I am slowly getting applications reinstalled. I am getting some downloads that fail and I know this would be the download timing out. I am...

Re: gps

Interesting. The only way I can get Maemo Mapper to recognize the Internal GPS module is to run the built in Maps and access it through gpsd. How do you have Maemo Mapper accessing the GPS module?

Re: Internet Tablets in the Workplace

You have a valid point and I agree with you in cases in which that occurs.

That being said, I have never put my "whims" above any customer's best interest. I have faith and pride in my code and my...

AIM / Oscar Protocol Missing in Pidgin

Just got my n810 last week. I installed Pidgin(2.2.2), but the AIM/ICQ(Oscar) protocol is missing from the Accounts type drop down menu. This is ironic considering Pidgin started as a AIM client. I...

Re: What woud you realistically like to see in the N900?

Why is this thread on Page 19, when threads talking about the n810 which came out last Saturday are neglected. Isn't everyone's best interest being served in figuring out how to best use the n810 and...

I feel like my previous post requires clearification.

Overall I am very happy with the n810. I have been watching the ITs since the 770 came out and almost got an 800. I have been a Symbian user...
