You are right. As the N950 does not have an AMOLED display, it cannot have the LPS, because that would consume just as much battery as having the display fully activated. So, the LPS does only exist...

the image will refresh by itself once per minute. if you want to refresh manually, go into /home/user/ls-magic and type "python ls-magic.py".

nobody actually needs HID for this. It would be nice of course, no driver messing and such, but if they provide a driver, that is enough for most people.

NFC can transmit arbitrary data in a way...

- reboot your phone to stop the script (or stop it via "top" and "kill" if you like that better)
- delete both ls-magic folders
- open terminal or ssh session

NFC can transmit arbitrary data, too (which is done on bt pairing, as the two devices exchage a bluetooth passkey).

As the data rate is (relatively) slow, there is no sense in transmittig big...

Why do you still think that it uses bluetooth? Of course nfc could be used to transmit keypresses, if an appropriate driver modules is loaded.

Battery consumption is a bit higher due to more OLEDs glowing in standby mode.

You would have to resize the image in the css file mentioned in the first post, shat should already be all I guess....

connect the phone, and select "mass storage device" mode on the phones display. you probaby selected sdk mode or developer mode, which will make the phone behave like a network card.

as xterm does not need to run, it doesnt take battery. the script is started with nohup, so it does not need a running terminal application anymore.

so far i did not notice extra battery draining,...

Hi,
you can choose an other font by replacing the font file in /usr/home/MyDocs/ls-magic. If you want to, you can put another font file there, and change the name in the python script.
