Go to Control Panel on the right, then Edit Options on the left menu, that's where you enable it. But otherwise yeah you can give me your email address here or email me - chris@alphastara.com.au

Re: TGNT - NITDroid Gone CE --> 2.3.7 Released [EXPERIMENTAL]

You found it :) Sets the max JVM size to 32MB...think the default is 16...pathetic for most apps.

And no, no reason you shouldn't use it :)

Re: TGNT - NITDroid Gone CE --> 2.3.7 Released [EXPERIMENTAL]

For anyone having issues with "Force close" errors in a lot of apps in Nitrdoid (OOME usually), the following fix should help:

1. Boot into Maemo
2. Open X-Term (Ctrl+X)
3. Run 'vi...

Re: The Grand Nitdroid Thread - NITDroid Gone CE --> 2.3.7 Released [EXPERIMENTAL]

2.3.7 is very buggy for me also. Most apps are giving "Force close", and is laggy compared to previous release. Market keeps "Force close"'ing on most occasions. Also receiving random reboots just...

Smile Re: The Grand Nitdroid Thread - Sound While in A Call Approaching

Be careful of 2nd mount on line 110. Remove it or do a 'umount' before it to be sure. Sometimes you can get issues mounting multiple times in Maemo I think from memory.

Looks good though :)

Re: The Grand Nitdroid Thread - Sound While in A Call Approaching

The accelerometer is working but is 90degrees out, this might be for a reason (for screen orientation to work) but is obviously not useful for games.

Question Re: The Grand Nitdroid Thread - Sound While in A Call Achieved

Great stuff...is that the actual genuine HTC Sense launcher or a sudo using LauncherPro or something? If it's the genuine HTC Sense launcher, I'd love to know how you managed to port it to nit!

Re: [Release] N12 "UMay" - Android GingerBread 2.3.4

Long SMS are still intermittent for me, some come through via multiple messages, others still come through truncated at 1 message length (126 characters).

Re: [Release] N12 "UMay" - Android GingerBread 2.3.4

Google "logcat", there's some good tutorials on how to use it, it's pretty simple. Download Android SDK to get it on your PC, then connect via USB...debug over USB is enabled by default in Nitdroid....

Re: The Grand Nitdroid Thread - Got The SMS? Nitdroid 12 a.k.a UMay is Out!

Post Re: [Release] N12 "UMay" - Android GingerBread 2.3.4

Re: [Release] N12 "UMay" - Android GingerBread 2.3.4

Don't worry about it too much, just delete the old kernel 11-*.06.item file in \etc\multiboot.d\ if you don't want it visible in the multiboot options.

Re: [Release] N12 "UMay" - Android GingerBread 2.3.4

Installed on MMC? Did you set ITEM_DEVICE to mmcblk0p2 in the Nitdroid item file for multiboot?

Lightbulb Re: [Release] N12 "UMay" - Android GingerBread 2.3.4

They are standalone, but sit in the same location so installing (extracting) N12 after N11, overwrites N11.

Lightbulb Re: [Release] N12 "UMay" - Android GingerBread 2.3.4

Looks like you don't have multiboot installed. Install Nitdroid installer from shell (don't run app after installing). Enable Maemo-Extras repo then:
apt-get update
apt-get install...
