Re: N900 won't turn on with power plugged in
Ok, seeing that a few people suffer from it makes me feel slightly less crazy.
One thing I did notice was that also it seems the LED behaviour is different now as well. I'm pretty sure sometimes...

Re: N900 won't turn on with power plugged in
I have a funny feeling that it only happened once I updated the kernel, but I can't know for sure. I only asked as I've just got another N900 and it does exactly the same as my other one.
Glad to...

Re: N900 won't turn on with power plugged in
Yep, both charge absolutely fine when booted or when turned off.

N900 won't turn on with power plugged in
Hi all,
I have this strange fault with not one but two different N900's now. They refuse to turn on when they are being charged. The only way I can get them to turn is to let them charge for an...

Re: Nokia N900 + Ethernet (via USB-RJ45 adapter)
Depends on the make/model of the USB Ethernet adapter. Some (like the Belkin Gigabit I have) have the necessary drivers already in the kernel, some don't. I'm not sure of a 'compatibility list'...

Re: [Announce] USB hostmode beta release
Could someone recompile sixpair to run on the N900? It would be cool if I could use h-e-n to pair up my PS3 controller.
EDIT: I just downloaded the Maemo SDK VMware and recompiled sixpair, works...

Re: N900 GPS problem
Yes, but you are missing my point entirely.
Why should I pay $400 for a phone (or whatever you want to call it) and then have to fart around to get the GPS to work? Why can't this $400 device...

Re: is there a fault with nokia n900 gps ?
I'm seriously convinced there is a hardware fault with some phones, as this is like the 30th thread I've read that goes along the lines of:
A. "N900 GPS Suxxors!"
B. "No it doesn't, works fine...

Re: SMS-based stolen phone locator
You are far, far more likely to have a cell connection than a wifi connection if the phone is stolen, so it's best to use the GSM side rather than relying on the thief to connect to the internet.
