Re: [Android] Guide to getting NITdroid to run.

A lot of others here have got it to run on the same hardware. If I were to take a wild guess, I'd say that the problem might be with your nolo, which is a couple of versions behind. Upgrading might...

Re: [Android] Guide to getting NITdroid to run.

@atwleung: What is the hardware revision of your tablet? You can get it by running cat /proc/component_version on xterm in the tablet.

Re: Tilt Sensor Add-ons for 32GB SD adapter for N810 Mod

@craves1: Can you share the name of the chip that you're planning to use? I am no coder (haven't touched anything of that sort in a long time), but I am interested in playing around with this.

Re: Tilt Sensor Add-ons for 32GB SD adapter for N810 Mod

Can you post some details about the components that you'll be using? If the manufacturers are open source friendly, and already have GPLed drivers, it should be a breeze to make the hardware...

Re: 32GB SD adapter For N810

32 GB is till where the current SDHC protocol has defined. Any future capacity will likely make it into SDXC. This mod might be useful now, but I feel that within 6 months, we'll see microshdc attain...

Re: NITdroid 0.4.x

From what I read so far, the hardware of the WE is the same as that of the stock N810, plus Intel's Baxterpeak chipset for 802.16e support. The bootloader passes these arguments to the Nokia supplied...

Re: NITdroid 0.4.x

@solca: Thanks for that detailed post, it was very useful. On my tablet, the debug kernel does not go past the white Nokia screen. Is there any block device specific code inside the embedded...

Re: NITdroid 0.4.x

I've been trying without success to get this working on the WiMAX Edition. I am almost sure that the rootfs is not being chrooted, and I am stuck trying to debug or verify this. @solca: Can you...

Re: Has anyone sucessfuly got bootmenu to work with a WIMAX?

Thanks. BTW, if you need a tarball of the initfs image, I can mail that to you. iwtool is on initfs' /usr/bin on my tablet.

Re: Has anyone sucessfuly got bootmenu to work with a WIMAX?

to_remove.lst had ./usr/local/lib, which was deleting these files:

./usr/local/lib/libiw.so.29
./usr/local/lib/libiw.so

I removed that line, and rewrote initfs this time selecting the option...

@fanoush: I'll give it a try and see where the initfs breaks.

Re: Has anyone sucessfuly got bootmenu to work with a WIMAX?

Thanks. My initfs partition's size is 4 Mb. The size of the image when I had enabled utelnetd and dropbear was 6.4M. Ijust redid the whole thing and it now ended up at 3.4M. Dunno where the extra 3M...

Re: Has anyone sucessfuly got bootmenu to work with a WIMAX?

I also have an N810 WiMAX and was trying to get bootloader working. @tomstratton, I have a few questions. You choose not to remove the extra utilities in the initfs, and also installed dropbear and...

Re: Guide to getting NITdroid to run.

I got to the root of the problem. The first partition on the 2G SD was formatted as FAT32, but maemo wasn't detecting it. When I went back to the factory default OS, it was going crazy trying to...

Re: Another Android port: NITdroid

Thanks for clarifying. I haven't looked into it in more detail; I was just poking under /proc out of curiosity. Sucks that we have mostly open hardware, but no good enough free drivers.

OMAP24xx EAC with codec TLV320AIC33

Re: Guide to getting NITdroid to run.

As a followup, I've noticed other weirdness too. A shutdown does not work from the power button, the device goes through a process of closing all apps, and the display blacks out, with the backlight...

Re: Guide to getting NITdroid to run.

Its still the same results. I see the Nokia logo, but nothing happens after that. I suspect whether the bootloader is getting invoked, because I can see hardware and nic details when the factory...

Re: N810 audio output via the 3,5mm stereo jack cable to hifi

Sorry to bump up an old thread, I've recently purchased an N810 WiMAX and a Shure I2c-m headset. The shures work fine on all 3 pin 3.5mm jacks that I've tested on, and the shape of the pin closely...
