Re: Have I bought the wrong phone?

When I read this thread it implies one has no option but to use a stylus:

Re: Have I bought the wrong phone?

Having read many posts and threads it seems that currently, using a stylus is absolutely essential.

Please confirm whether I'm correct in my assumption?

Thanks

Re: Should I wait?

The two items I've mentioned.

1. Frequent rebooting (lots of very negative comments).
2. Limited phone features and functions (There's no indication of when there'll be upgrades other than the...

Re: Should I wait?

Thanks but no!
Quite frankly some of the threads and posts here have scared me.
I'm scared it'll reboot or I won't be happy with the relatively limited phone features.
I need to think about it at...

Re: Should I wait?

Well it's arrived and I've not opened it as I'm so torn as to whether to open and use it or sell it and buy something else.

Re: Have I bought the wrong phone?

No more vacillating I'm definitely going to try it for a couple of weeks.
As a matter of interest why do you say "It's WAYYYYYYY "better" than the N97 (shudder!)"?

Re: Have I bought the wrong phone?

I can't return it; I'd have to sell it as used on eBay if I open the box.
Really in a quandary.

Re: Have I bought the wrong phone?

Actually I only decided to buy it two weeks ago but I'm going to try it for at least a couple of weeks.

I had a Motorola Milestone on order ex the UK and cancelled that in favour of the N900.

Re: Have I bought the wrong phone?

the question then becomes will the N900 volume produced justify all the effort and investment required to make it competitive?

Re: Have I bought the wrong phone?

Why the N97-mini?

If I decide not to keep it, I'll PM you and the other forum member from New Zealand before I put it on eBay.

Re: Have I bought the wrong phone?

Just going to look tomorrow.
Neither Android phone is available here.
I bought a G1 site unseen on eBay when they first came out and hated it.
Xperia X10 could be good eventually.

Re: Bug? International calls not logged

Each country's International dialing prefix is unique to that country eg Australia 0011 and + automatically inserts the correct prefix for the country.

Re: Have I bought the wrong phone?

It certainly will be but fortunately I've friends in the USA who'll look after that if there's a problem.

What I don't want to do is open the package and then find I don't like it.

Re: Have I bought the wrong phone?

Thanks, I'm going to wait for a some more comments and will then make a decision.

If necessary I'm sure I can easily sell it here and I bought it at a good price.

Re: N900 bricked hheellpp

When I've had similar problems with Symbian updates and found what worked for me was to reboot my PC, disable all anti-virus, anti-spyware and firewall software and that solved the problem.

Virgin is part of Optus
Telstra offers the best and widest coverage but is horrendously expensive for calls and data.

Optus and Vodafone have a good non-contract...
