Re: 2.2.1.18 Nurmonjoki

What's in a version number, really?

Does it matter whether it be 3.0 or 2.2.2.0, it's just a string of numbers. It does not really signify what the features are, it is just something that some...

Re: SailfishOS for Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017)

When starting development of a new port it is fairly easy to get the device up to the level that it boots your kernel in rescue mode, so that you can actually telnet into the device but none of the...

Re: New members say hello !

It's been a while but I recall you need to use the wipe option or cold flashing to clear a device that is locked.

Hmm, OK; I was not aware that there is EU legislation that enforces a company to make licenses transferrable. Is that a recent addition? Can you point me to the relevant chapters?

If that is the...

Re: difficulty flashing an N9

Well, the answer is both yes and no :)

Firstly, you say you cannot flash the device so how are you planning to get to rescue mode to be able to copy the filesystems? And if you are using dd you'd...

Re: [ALERT] Sailfish license can't be transfered!!!

It is their OS and I'd imagine they can make up a license policy that suits them right.

As for myself, I think it is pretty fair; If you break your device X or sell it to someone else you can...

I am not sure about sound, on my XperiaX there is no sound when pulling down a pulley menu or type on the vkb for example.
Instead of sound there is haptic feedback, which means the device vibrates...
