You could try this:
cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/stats/time_in_state
It tells how much time the cpu has spent at different clock speeds.

I forgot this once, you probably didn't :) But did you by any chance had it connected with usb cable to the pc as mass storage device at the time? (if so n900 umounts the cards)

Could it be that the N900 running with an OC kernel became self-aware.. In this state it realizes its owner is trying to hurt it (or maybe just dislikes the company) and shuts down to the oblivious...

I just had to make one call to my oc'ed n900. Didn't even answer it(so rude)
Result:

But according to Conky it's now reaching...

I noticed that the second fastest mode(750 MHz) now for the first time is being used a little...

to
scaling_max_freq 900000
or whatever mhz you prefer or dare to...

I compiled a kernel with this settings
MPU 125/250/500/652/825 MHz
DSP 90/180/360/470/500 MHz
And i noticed (maybe a placebo effect) less freezing while recording video compared to the stock...

I have a question regarding cpu vs dsp speed. Looking at the stock version of the omap3-opp.h header file in the kernel source there seems to be a factor between the dsp and cpu frequency thats...

Just tested that on my N900 with the 125-900 oc kernel.
Got the result:
Nokia-N900-51-1:/# cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_available_frequencies
