Re: [Announce] Deskypplet

edit the file
/etc/hildon-desktop/home.safe-set as root. Add the widgets you are using.

example:

/usr/share/applications/hildon-home/deskypplet-applet.desktop

Re: [Announce] Deskypplet

@guilledoc
- Very large directories (more than 700 files or 300 folders in a folder) crash deskypplet. This will be changed in next versions.
- /dev crashes deskypplet. I guess this wont change.

Re: [Council] Maemo Elections - September 2011

Calm down. All I am saying is: there are rules and there is politics.

Edit:
Voting per acclamation is better than no voting.

Re: [Council] Maemo Elections - September 2011

you are 100% right. But still there's a difference (for some, or some could make one in the future) between "The community showed their support for the council" and "estel said it's OK"

Re: [Council] Maemo Elections - September 2011

Sure, but nobody said that (?) My point was, that the rest here still interested in maemo/tmo can show their support for the new council and give them a mandate that way.

Re: [Council] Maemo Elections - September 2011

Yes, like always nobody wants to do the work, but give advices. So mine is: Some of the new council members opens a thread for everyone to thank and bump as a vote for example. This would solve the...

Re: [Announce] Deskypplet

Sure, you'd like it more if I simply shut up. You were given the "look how the others do it" answer, and you are happy with that?
No problem from my side here, but...

Re: [Announce] Deskypplet

Yes
Did you bump your thread? Did you ask in IRC again? Did you send some PM?
It's so much easier to just talk than to really do something. And I am
disappointed with your "I don't know, I don't...

Re: [Announce] Deskypplet

Hi
It's not written in the widget to snap to the top of the screen (tested it right now), so I assume you have snap to grid activated with some high value (maybe).
There wont be a gui for...

Re: [Announce] Deskypplet

@estel
did you look into some source packages?
The threads you posted are useless. At least on of them. Couldn't figure out if the other has the answer.

Re: Would you be willing to donate $10 for Maemo?

Yes, there are still some who believe that. Most of them moved to MeeGo/N9/N950. Some are spamming other threads with this (in my eyes) bxxxshxx.

This has nothing to do with sophism. I didn't want to prove anything with the quote. Why do you think it suggests something different?

Re: [Announce] Deskypplet

The fact is: most things in life are easy if you know how to do it.
I didn't search who gave me that answer, because that's totally irrelevant.
You wrote that too, therefore you took this...

Re: [Announce] Deskypplet

No, I think it's best how we all decided to do it. Deskypplet Is making good progress.
I would say, you should open the thread. I already received "look how the others do it" answers. So either...

Re: [Announce] Deskypplet

i think this script is not needed, although it could be done with this. I think it must be done somehow in the 'rules' file.

Re: [Announce] Deskypplet

sounds to me as you have unpacked it with command line without preserving the folder structure. These icons should be in .deskypplet/icons. Either create a folder .deskypplet/icons and move the icons...

Re: [Announce] Deskypplet

I'll have a look.
The screen of my old Acer Aspire 3620 broke (still working somehow, but no fun to use). Now I'll try to fight my deep sorrow with a Dell Latitude E6420 (not arrived yet). :D
So...
