I'm not sure if he mean open as in open-source or open as in available to many manufacturers. Android of course is both though.

You should be able to access the settings from the main screen where you open files etc.. just tap the title bar there.

Glad you like it :)

The auto-scrolling does need some work and finer control and a way to start/stop the scrolling easily are on my todo-list. I haven't made any tests regarding power efficiency...

The tesseract binary isn't runnable. You can find it in home/opt/phototranslator-alpha/tesseract. Then just chmod +x tesseract and it should run.

This should propably be in a postinstall script or...

I also can't load the maps when using 3G, works fine with wifi. Loading the tile in the browser works and all other apps can use the internet just fine.

With HTC Touch Diamond using Opera Mobile 9.5 FPS varies from 18 to 25 and using Internet Explorer it stays at 2.

On desktop using Chrome 4.0.206.1 I get a pretty much constant 250 FPS.
