Mine has no telephony functions anymore. All the tricks have failed. Time to buy another; at least there are new ones available via ebay for around $150. I am going to pick one up and use it til...

I was still having an issue with mine, and checked out the sim holder. The card was loose, which explains why adding another card under the battery helped, but the battery case is not meant for that...

I used another sim card between the battery and sim holder, and after a few hours, seems to be working fine.

I tried the several methods of applying pressure to the sim and checked the screws on the back, but nothing works. If this is not fixed soon, I may have to get a new phone.

I still use mine as my only phone. It works great, and does everything I want it to do. I have no desire for a new phone, as none appeal to me. About three years old and on the original battery.

I updated to v50 from a much earlier version. The only issue I have is that when I check available internet connections, it does not show them all consistently. Often, it only shows my cell...

I tried supl.google.com and it fixed my phone just fine. I didn't tie in the security update until I read this thread just now, but was about that time frame.

I agree and still love mine. I don't see why I won't love it a year from now. I bet it will be at least two years before something comes out that will comfortably replace my n900.
