Is your phone in silent? Apps won't play sound if the phone is in silent. Took a while for me to figure that out.

Problem is with the implementation of video calling on N900, I think. Because video calling doesn't work between skype on N900 and skype on Linux either.

I had to assign static IPs to get Bluetooth PAN going. It may not always be the case, but I could not get auto IP assignment working.

Worked for me after installing the power kernel from the extras repository. pppd was crashing before I did that. But the new pppd in the power kernel is stable.

love my N900. Hopefully Nokia or someone else would continue with a similar device with MeeGo. Can't think of another device that gives you root access to the device without voiding the warranty.

I had a similar problem. I uninstalled and re-installed extra decoders. If you haven't installed extra decoders, try installing them.

email notifications for new mail in inbox only

Is there a way to limit email notifications for new emails in the inbox only (or a given folder).

I get a lot of spam (cvs checkins and the like) on my work email and don't care for those update...

bluetooth didn't work with my BMW 330xi. the phone pairs fine, but immediately disconnects.
