Yes I've been trying this for quite a while. It installs fine and runs but takes a very very very long time to start and then it is nearly unresponsive when it does load. Plus the background never...

...or somebody else that has put one of many potential linux desktops on a tablet.....all of which would blow away most of the current offerings. We can only hope for something truly novel!

maybe glasses free 3d like nintendo 3ds.......a 3D gui would be interesting. Not sure how practical, but they'd sell a bazillion of them.....or not....

Interesting...I'll give it a try too tonight if I have time. You could always try vi, but if there is no esc key on xterm it won't work....

That is a better route but I would guess that there is little difference between the kernel in this and the n900 adaption kernel. Keep us posted and good luck=O

Instead of extracting the image, I was talking about actually flashing the whole thing onto the N900 as if it were the N950. I mean what would be different? Same processor architecture, same...
