Re: The new QWERTY device project

Btw., Chen, what's the ETA for the qwertyphone as for now? The Moto Z was to be released in November IIRC, we have December, and everything's silent.

Re: SailfishOS on Oneplus 3

I think you should describe what has been done so far and where you got stuck. It's unlikely anyone is going to help you if you write such a general post, most people won't take the time to dig...

Re: SailfishOS on Oneplus 3

Rather stalled. I'm extremely busy and it's unlikely to change for the next three weeks. Feel free to take it over, but I'll be eager to help you when I have a while

It may be a good idea to try...

Re: [IGG Live][Slider Keyboard] Keyboard Mod for Moto Z

I'm wondering, what's the reason? Do you need to depend on some proprietary Motorola SDK?

Re: SailfishOS on Oneplus 3

Thanks, I'll preprare a SFOS on LOS 14.1 image when I have a while.
According to people from #sailfishos-porters, LOS 14.1 is very similar to 13.0 porting-wise, so I hope a simple rebuild against...

Re: The new QWERTY device project

When I was discussing the GCC update during one of the Mer meetings, Jolla seemed most concerned about those closed-source applications.

Re: SailfishOS on Oneplus 3

Is there anyone here with a OnePlus 3/3T with LineageOS 14.1?

I have a hypothesis that a newer kernel could alleviate the networking problems. I can build the image but I have no means of testing...

Re: The new QWERTY device project

I guess it's the purpose of this whole thing - so that people can't see the pixels. Because people believe that it's beautiful not to see the pixels. Because that's what Apple made with their Retina...

Re: The new QWERTY device project

You mentioned a couple of SoC manufacturers in the OP. Was TI OMAP (from N900/N9) not taken into account?

Re: The new QWERTY device project

A friend of mine came up with an interesting idea about N900 and I think it may be great to include it in Livermorium.

The idea is: shift/fn on the back of the device just as L1/R1 keys on a game...

Re: N900 is a target platform for PostMarketOS !

That's a shame, really and I'm really disappointed to hear it. But, honestly, do we have anything else, when it comes to modern devices?

Re: The new QWERTY device project

And for me the N900's screen is now just too small. For me the sweet spot is 5"-5.5". Bigger screen means much more comfortable web browsing.

Re: SailfishOS on Oneplus 3

Image uploaded. See post #4.
Let me know if you have any idea on the connectivity issue, it looks like some kernel issue to me, but no further ideas on my side :(

Re: Introducing ubiboot N9 (multiboot OS loader)

I don't know. I have no journal logs in /var/log, even though I use persistent storage mode in journald.conf

How can I check it?

Here's my kernel config, I don't really know what to...

Re: Introducing ubiboot N9 (multiboot OS loader)

I have journalctl installed, so I think I have the full right to assume it's systemd.

My steps were:
1. Create a partition, setup ubiboot
2. Mount the partition from the ubiboot rescue, follow...

The patches for display were not merged yet, though.

Re: Introducing ubiboot N9 (multiboot OS loader)

I disabled them all, unfortunately, the device reboots after a while. :(

Is there any way to easily set up a telnet/ssh session to the device, like Nemo does? They're using their own `init-debug`...

no-ext-wd disable auto reboot by external...
