I'm running PR1.1 open mode in my N950.
Is it possible to flash PR1.2 with the open mode kernel (when it gets available) in just one step?

Btw, any news about open mode kernel for PR1.2?

One option is just install a debian chroot using debootstrap.
I did that way, all debian apps are running fine (just remember to "mount -o bind" /dev, /dev/pts and /proc).

I got pidgin running using an open kernel, and a debian squeeze chroot.
I installed the default squeeze pidgin by "apt-get install pidgin".
It's working ok.

I'M USING A 100% FULLY FUNCTIONAL N950 IN AEGIS OPEN MODE FOR MORE THEN 2 WEEKS!

Please stop saying open mode is not working...

In the weekend if I find some spare time I'll overclock my N950.

It does not have all squeeze packages yet, but I already installed all the devel environmnent, qt, pidgin and so on.

Are you totally guessing or do you really have overclocked your N9/N950? In the case you have overclocked your phone, could you please post the patch?

Hi there people, where can I get the kernel source code?
I'm already using an openmode patched kernel.
Overclock should be very simple, it's just a matter of changing an entry in the omap cpufreq...

Pidgin is working fine!
At least here in my N950 (I believe that in N9 with bt keyboard it will work perfect also), pidgin is working great, and I'm using it.
I'm using it from debian squeeze...

People, I flashed my N950 with the patched kernel which enables the open mode for more then a week.
I'm really happy about been able to run debian in a chroot, use the mount command and so on!!...

I had to use the argument "-vo x11" in order to play a mpeg4 video without flickering.
The problem is that after some seconds the screen goes black, and I have to tap any key to get the screen up...

The "-dev" packages could not be installed because of broken packages.
Can you fix?

I'm running latest firmware on N950.
