Re: Dialcentral 1.0

Actually, epage, I respectfully disagree with EL_EASY. I'd rather you not clutter up DialCentral with a notification component. I prefer it just the way it is. If people want the notification...

As for the new layout, I'm a big fan. Looks really good.

Re: DialCentral 0.9.0

epage, I updated from subversion, blew away my .dialcentral directory and tried again and now it's not hanging, so disregard my earlier comment, I suppose.

Re: DialCentral 0.9.0

I'm gonna be on the road for a few days, so I'm not gonna be able to do that right away. I'll take a crack at the code myself in the meantime and see if I can maybe figure out what's going on, and if...

Re: DialCentral 0.9.0

Thanks for the update, works great on my n800.

I've been noticing lately when trying to run this on my desktop (Ubuntu 9.04) it hangs after I start it up but before I'm able to provide...

Re: DialCentral

You're right, I grabbed the appropriate files out of the .deb and ran it from there, and it worked (although my contacts and recent list were empty). It's just what's in subversion that won't run at...

I run DialGentral not only on my n800 but also on my two laptops. I'm running whats in the svn repository, currently revision 149. In Ubuntu 8.04, everything runs fine. In Xubuntu 8.04 (xfce-based) I...

Re: Where does one find eBooks?

1. Fire up your IRC client of choice.
2. Join an undernet server (us.undernet.org, eu.undernet.org, whatever)
3. Join #ebooks

You should be able to figure it out from there. :)

programmer's calculator

For a while I've been looking for a simple programmer's calculator. I didn't need graphing capabilities, or even RPN. Just something to allow me to convert numbers from one base to another, do...

Update worked as advertised for me. Browser does seem a bit faster. No problems here.

Re: Grandcentral Dialer

GrandCentral doesn't have a way for existing users to invite others right now. The only thing you can do is go to the site and sign up for an invite from GC itself. There's nothing anyone on this or...

Thanks, the updated revision fixed the problem with the placeholder phone number showing up.

I have been using it quit a bit lately. More on my desktop than my n800. After your recent fixes, I...

You, sir, are a god among men. Thank you.

I did notice another weird thing, but it doesn't seem to affect the behavior of the program. When I first start the dialer, my GrandCentral Number on the...

Re: Grandcentral Dialer Application

Well, I suppose as long as the server-side script(s) involved were provided for me to host on my own web server, I'd be OK with it. That way I have control of the whole process. I know that's not an...

Re: Grandcentral Dialer Application

It's always easy for the person not actually writing the code (me) to give advice than it is for the coder to actually be able to implement it, but IMHO you've been going about it exactly right....

Re: Looking for a good case for the N800

Re: Anyone here not have a screen protector on there N800?

I don't use a screen protector, but I have a case that I absolutely love. The CaseLogic StrongMan PLT-2. Holds my n800 nice and snug, protects it from scratches and drops.
