I'm not entirely sure I'm afraid, having never needed to try. Maybe someone else can suggest a solution.

I did see a linux version of PC Suite in development somewhere but I'm not sure it was that...

You can connect the N900 to Ubuntu for cellular web access, there is a post on this very forum about how to do it. There is also a bluetooth DUN package in the repositories to make enabling blutooth...

App Suggestion: Camera lens cover open alert

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post app suggestions but here goes.

I have a terrible memory and keep forgetting to close the camera lens cover before putting my N900 back in my pocket....

I just tried mplayer and videos that seemed choppy but watchable in the default player are silky smooth in mplayer. Am using the KMPlayer frontend to simplify use too. Recommend giving it a go :)

Yeah, I get this too. The issue for me might be to do with my contacts sync going on via http://nuevasync.com/ but I'm not sure.

Are you using any kind of contacts sync service?

Yeah, will give them a buzz. It is a fairly small store yes, but not as small as the Basingstoke one; that one was built in a cupboard! :D
