Ok. Tried installing sysklogd but there was a problem connecting to the repo. So I reflashed and restored my backup.
36 seconds to desktop.

So since I started this post I Reflashed the device and boot times are much quicker. But it has recently regressed to slow boots again. Thanks for the link to syslogd. I will install it and see...
