Apparently, you can run Android apps (need snapd and Anbox) on many linux distributions. I havn't tried it myself yet.

Hi, This does not sound quite right. They were selling telecommunications equipment, presumably made by ZTE, to North Korea and Iran. Not U.S. goods. Maybe the equipment used US parts. Apparently ZTE...

I agree with this up to a point. The problem I have is with not caring about "what's under the bonnet" as you may be losing functionality or performance because the hardware is not designed with OS...

Yes, looks like ZTE and Huawei are being blacklisted by US Gov and several companies. A shame as they make some nice devices. So I guess my Huawei phone is my last one for the foreseeable future.......
