I tried what you explain here but as soon as I try to open it it closes after the Keyboard "warning"... really don't know what to do, :(

I just installed the new PR 1.3 and I'm facing this same problem... don't know what to do.
I've tried the command described here, restart, reboot, reflash... nothing.
Still the error comes up.

Try this:

1) Remove battery
2) Execute flasher on Linux
3) When states that is waiting for an USB device, connect the N900 to the computer.
4) Hold "U" Key
5) While pressing U, put the battery...

Try with Linux (Ubuntu) or XP, Vista and Windows 7 have some problems... AFAIK. :D
