For Nokia now N900 is a niche product. Nokia risks infuriating the techy bleeding edge with a lack of Meego compatibility but in terms of N900 unit numbers I doubt they feel any real responsibility...

I made a few modifications, maybe others would like them. I like to keep my things looking pretty stock, not too crazy.

no, only one msn protocol - haze. I have installed: Pidgin Extra Protocols (Bonjour & Sametime) and Pidgin protocols plugin for conversations and contacts.

I have MSN haze (as part of pidgin protocols). Recently I can't connect at all (network error). So I have disabled my MSN haze account. BUT I still occasionally get spam ghost messages from offline...

MStarDict has nice simple UI. If you want to try that you will have to put your dict files in MyDocs/mstardict/ as the program currently doesn't let you specify location.
