Re: [ANNOUNCE] Alpha release of Open Media Player

Just being able to resize the video to full screen has been enough for me to use OMP more than the stock video player.

And I can +1 about the screenshots. Even with Ctrl+Shift+P they show up black...

Re: Upcoming Nokia Flagship?

First off. I thought Windows and Pureview were incompatible. (Nokia's statement, not mine). So they've probably created another tech that's compatible with Windows and scrapped the 808 so they could...

Re: [Announce] fMobi - Facebook mobile client

There's been no feedback to my posts on his Facebook page either.
I had to do a reflash at one time, so lost my fMobi. Can't get back to Ovi/Nokia Store to re-install.
Part of the issues are...

Re: My N900 has started switching off on its own

Was it brand new from day 1 or was it a second hand purchase?
Are you running CSSU? Still running stock kernal?
Does it stay live while it's connected via USB? (In case a reflash is needed).

Re: Broken SIM card port? How to repair?

After seeing your latest PIC, it looks like the other 2 pins are not too healthy.
The thing with the adhesive was it was a permanent fix if it wasn't disturbed. Because they were watches in my case...

Re: Broken SIM card port? How to repair?

This is where this stuff could come in very handy:
Wire Glue (http://www.smallbattery.company.org.uk/sbc_wire-glue.htm)

I used to use it regularly for repairing battery contacts in quartz...

Re: meet the *used* iOS 7

From what I've seen of iOS 7, I'm not impressed. Most of the "improvements" could have been made by the community if they'd been given the tools/apps and permissions to do them.

Can't see the...

Re: Huawei Ascend Y300 @ 60.00

So, it's been 3 days and I'm going mad.
Opera on Android is a nightmare, so is Chrome. For some unknown reason they don't think we need "Quit" buttons. At least I haven't found them. Have to press...

Re: can n900 using air gesture..?

There was a link to a Youtube video where someone had implemented some sort of air gesture using the proximity sensor.

I've had a route through the lucky dip but can't seem to find it now.

Re: Huawei Ascend Y300 @ 60.00

Decided to go for it's bigger brother, the G510 16GB + 1GB sounded far better than the Y300. Only costing me an extra 3 on the contract too.
Gonna take some getting used to the BIG slab feel after...

Re: Huawei Ascend Y300 @ 60.00

I'm not suggesting support for 32GB MicroSD is a breakthrough by any means, the fact that such a 'Cheap as Chips' device has got one is a plus. :p

And yeah 512MB was a bit low so I did a bit more...

Re: Huawei Ascend Y300 @ 60.00

So, what have we got here?
Is this a possible stop-gap to take the workload off my poor old creaking N900 until the Jollas touch down?
Y300 looks an impressive device for it's price point x2 CPU,...

Re: So, what should a qwerty other half look like?

This is partly the reason why HW/QWERTY is shied away from by all manufacturers now. You can't change the layout of a physical keyboard without remodeling the device to suit. Onscrean boards are just...

I believe the U.S are actually deploying robo-dogs/mules/pack horses, call 'em what you will, on a small scale in some of the hotspots they are active in now.

But I can't see us having a robot...

Re: [ANNOUNCE] MaePyGallery 0.1 and MaePyGalleryQML

Found a crazy trick to do with this the other night.

If you take 24 screenshots for...
