Re: #JollaLoveDay - 20th May - device announcement

There's an intersting bit about the openness question:
http://jollatides.com/2013/05/20/jollaloveday-qa/
I think the Q&A session is still going on, people should post their questions!

Re: #JollaLoveDay - 20th May - device announcement

I'm pretty sure the other half will have the possibility to make it a qwerty keyboard. The question is will they make it themselves (which I really hope) or will they just leave it to a third party....

Re: Did I use the correct CSSU version?

my advice is to go for option 3 of previous post.
cssu thumb and kernel-power simply do such a lot for your N900 experience, I'd never wanna go back - in fact these improvements saved me from...

Re: [Announce] Ocho (WIP) - 8tracks.com client for MeeGo (N9/N950) and Maemo (N900)

I run CSSU testing on N900 and recently upgraded libs from CSSU devel. To install it I still needed to apt-get -f install which got me libqtm11 installed, after which I was able to install ocho.

Re: [N900] Mozilla Fennec browser builds (only for CSSU Thumb)

Hi,
I downloaded the version with pixman from first post, but it doesn't install.
It lists some unfulfilled libqt4 dependencies and libpixman, but the libqt4 ones are acutally there on my system, I...

Re: [Announce] - Helium Mobile Browser for N900

It's actually rare that I prefer to view the mobile version of a site on N900 over the desktop version.
To me, most mobile sites suck in any browser! :p

Re: [Announce] - Helium Mobile Browser for N900

Well the last changes to the Nemo version listed in Github are from rburchell (https://github.com/rburchell), not veskuh (https://github.com/veskuh):

Re: U-Boot for Nokia RX-51 with BootMenu (updated version 2012.10-rc3-1)

Hello, I did some searching in this thread, but still not sure I got it right:
- U-boot with KP51r1 and CSSU Thumb is possible, yes (is there a step-by-step howto)?
- If so, can I make KP my...

Re: New stuff available for creating/editing virtual keyboards on the N900 now available

How about german layout?
Imo a portrait vkb is more important to have than a landscape one, since I'd venture the hypothesis that a huge majority of N900 users would slide out the hw keyboard when...

How does your build differ from this one?
Will you upload yours to the CSSU.thumb repo?

Re: Bluetooth STEREO (music) headset for N900 - which one?

Hello,
So my Nokia Bh-505 finally kicked the bucket in that the ear buds both broke off. In my opinion the design is flawed in the first place because that part where it broke, that sits directly...

Re: Is it worth buying a Nokia N900 right now?

Spreadsheet app is Gnumeric. There are other choices, but I haven't tired any of them.
I sync Mail for Exchange with Google using Nuevasync.com, it works fine. Calendar sync only is free, too.

Re: Is it worth buying a Nokia N900 right now?

It seems to me that if you want a great smartphone
a) with a hardware keyboard and
b) not place your life in the hands of Google (which is what Android acutally means),
no better choice has come...
