Here in India, people are buying the low end WP8 Lumias like never before... Though it doesn't come anywhere near the sales % of Samsung phones. I personally have ordered a couple of Lumia 520s...

Update: Bought a new USB charger (Original, LG) and I am no more facing any issues with the touch screen.

Meanwhile, I've found out a workaround with the faulty charger :D Connect a USB extension...
