If you have Win7 you don't need to create an ad-hoc network you just need to make sure you allow media streaming. It's in Choose Homegroup And Sharing Options - make sure Stream my pictures etc is...

Agree on the Maemo 5 bit, but Symbian hasn't been good for a long time. I had a n97, it was awful, my wife has an X6 and it isn't much better.

Got it back today, they have fitted a new board apparently. Just restoring now, everything seems OK. Under two weeks isn't bad I thought.

My USB port came out entirely just before Christmas, I sent it back to Nokia last week and I've just checked the site and it's on its way back to me. No idea what they have done yet but will update...
