Got a problem with creating user and group, at least, the postinstall script from the icecast2 deb had!
Can't install this app and busybox power report a prob in user and group creation, any...

My usual choice is Sygic, perfect for my use... But you should also note that mappero is also able to use google maps, that are much more completes than OSM, this is why, even if it needs a data...

Copy your source files on the n900, install gcc (many ways... for me installing g++ from the sdk repos) then link, build and compile straight from the n900 xterm!

If you can afford to pay it, Sygic is by far the best solution. Accurate and fast and with turn by turn navigation. Validate that their maps cover your region/country though

Il ne s'agit pas que d'un problème de User Agent!, Cela peut-être un problème de port, un blocage volontaire de SFR etc, Python peut-éventuellement te permettre de reprendre les sources de certaines...

I'll try to answer him in french. In short, most of his apps that need to connect are blocked on the 3G network by his french provider (SFR), witch is a well known problem in france.
