Actually, solved the problem by never turning it off. Lives on the charger for the most part.
I guess the mind meld causes it to reboot to refresh itself...

It is another option, sure.
I gave up on the NIT (ANT? :-) for that kind of thing using a BT GPS because the apps are just not up to standards and battery life left much to be desired.

I'd go with a conventional GPS and have :). Just easier all around and batteries last a lot longer, you can do routing on the device and a lot more that the current offerings for the NITs don't yet....

I'll agree that the 770s physical factor was light year + orders of magnitude better than either the 800 or 810.
I came very close to getting the 770 over the 800 but the weird SD card ended up...
