OLPC "Sugar" Environment on N800?

Has anyone explored the possibility of running the One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) XO laptop's open source "Sugar" environment to Maemo? The device is pretty low power, so I'm curious if the N800 can...

Re: The itT Canola2 Beta discussion thread

I hear ya, e-motion. I'm psyched for Canola, but I haven't been able to re-install ANY apps after updating. That is the most difficult part about all this. I'm stuck with a stock machine. Had I...

While I would like to think Nokia is doing whatever they can to rectify the situation, they have neither acknowledged the problem publicly, nor have they actually resolved the issue even after so...

"Nokia System Software Updates" repository unreachable, so now I can't refresh!

So apparently a new "feature" of OS2008 are OTA system updates. Great. However, the repository for these updates is currently unreachable (presumably due to the unacceptably poor server performance...

Re: Java on the N800 ?

Can someone explain to me what OSGi is, and why I would want to develop for it on my N800? It seems to be the only thing that makes this version of java useful.

Re: What does having Skype on the N800 mean? Calling anyone on any phone?

I strongly agree with that. The only benefit to Skype are free (international) calls via skype2skype. The landline access is simply a red herring, thanks to the awesome, and OPEN, Gizmo Project. ...

When I attempt to listen to music or play videos while my N800 is charging, there is a background buzzing or rapid "clicking" in the headphones. It only persists while the unit is charging.

I did...
