Re: What does Mobile Longevity Look to You?
Here's my take, formed mostly before the early March statement on how the N900 hardware will be one of the first things to run MeeGo at least in development, not necessarily as a release:

Re: Ouch... Android is making my n900 look bad.
Really, until the feature you want is in the device you shouldn't buy it.
Until it's in the device, that feature is vaporware and for all you know it has been abandoned by its parent company.

Re: Ouch... Android is making my n900 look bad.
No US telco will subsidize the N900, so that doesn't matter to me. I have no idea if it would even work with TMobile data here.
So the 900 has bad battery life compared to the 800? That's...

Re: Ouch... Android is making my n900 look bad.
I disagree. The phone can have a beautiful front end and a not-tough-to-access control panel to let the gearheads bolt on all sorts of fun things and open up the root access to the system. It...

nice and fast UI
I really like how fast the new tree view is on my N800. It's much faster and easier to navigate and open items up with the stylus.

"Enter Lock Code 1/3"
I don't know if I've ever put a lock code in, but whatever I put in it says...

Maybe I bumped into something odd along the way.
I'll definitely give the youtube videos a look. A walkthrough will most likely give me the "a ha!" moment I need to understand it.
