Re: Just bought a Windows ce 5.0 device and thiinking of changing to linux

I fear it's slow because the processor is not very fast and it doesn't have much RAM. With that said porting Linux to it is a quite valid request, though I fear you underestimate the difficultly...

Re: Google Maps & Latitude support?

We had some discussion of Latitude and there's even some code floating about to perform Latitude updates.

Re: [Announce] Snuggle : Geolocation using CellID and Google APIs

Yes access to the raw data dumps is one of the reasons it appealed to me, plus the wifi data. From looking quickly at opencellid I couldn't see any way of getting hold of the raw data, plus it only...

Re: N9 full Angry Birds uses NFC?

I seem to remember reading somewhere that one can unlock some extra levels using NFC, there are a fair few web pages about it, e.g.: http://mashable.com/2011/04/19/nokia-angry-birds-2/

Re: [Announce] Snuggle : Geolocation using CellID and Google APIs

Looks cool. It would be especially useful if you cached and stored the location of known cellids so that it could be used without switching on a network device. Along these lines, being able to...

Re: Brainstorm: Porting maemo to other devices instead

Well Droid 3 is ideal-ish as it's an OMAP 4 (so the Pandaboard stuff should be reasonably close), however as it's a Motorola phone, it's probably not so easy. In addition it's not available in the UK...

Re: Brainstorm: Porting maemo to other devices instead

Well mainly as I owned one (and I chose it as I wanted GPS and an e-compass, though accessing the GPS remains WIP). The tablet you mention may well be a better bet (certainly it's higher spec, but...

Re: Brainstorm: Porting maemo to other devices instead

The issue with Mer/Nemo/Meego at the moment, for me at least, is that after spending some significant time getting the Samsung Galaxy Tab to boot Nemo (I imagine it will be easier with the next...

We discussed something similar here: http://wiki.maemo.org/Proximus

and I started writing some skeleton code here: https://garage.maemo.org/plugins/scmsvn/viewcvs.php/trunk/proximus/?root=proximus...

Interesting, I guess mBarcode may now be surplus to requirements. I guess that's what happens when you're busy...

Edit: won't install for me so I can't see what it's like anyway.

Re: [Request] mBarcode for Harmattan

Hey chaps,

Sorry I've not been following the forum for a while.

I've got mBarcode-lite pretty much finished (my wife and I have a baby and work has been busy, so working time has been somewhat...

Re: Question about QtSDK's 'publish to extra' feature

Alternatively perhaps it's trying to upload them for you, did you have...

I used T-mobile while in SF last year in my N900 without troubles. The only issue is that I was unwilling to stump up the quite considerable pre-payment for data, which sort of took away the fun....

Re: "Enable Positioning?" Prompt Keeps Showing Up

List what's running with ps, see what looks like it might be causing the issues?

If it's not some daemon you've installed and will see with ps, do you have location reporting switched on for IM?

What is the Israel-specific nature of the app? I've read that elsewhere too.

(As a quick explanation to save me and others needing to go and dig for the info)
