I did both. I used a charger on another device that also has a miniUSB connection and it worked.

I sent in my phone a week ago and just got it back. Put the charger in to charge battery, it doesn't even charge :(

I asked for my first replacement 2 months ago for the charging port breaking down, now I have to request another again. I hope they fix it this time!

True, but I think if you ask them to change the price, it will put you in the end of the line. The person that had preordered the phone on 9/15 and got his phone shipped had the original price still....

Its always a double edge sword. If you want and they run out of stock and you can't get it till next year, your screwed. But of course, by that time the price might be lower.
