Re: Receiver not working, can be replaced with receiver to suit Nokia Lumia 820

You guys are the best! Following Juz's instructions and pictures, I've just fixed my receiver speaker (bought on eBay an "original Nokia 500 700 820 920 Lumia Asha 305 306 earpiece").

By the way,...

Re: [WTS] Nokia N900 touchscreen (new)

Re: [WTS] Nokia N900 for spare parts & touchscreen (new)

I have no experience of sending things outside the EU. Standard post service would be fine (€12,70 to USA), but they don't allow 'cash on delivery', which ―I guess― may be your preferred option.

Re: [WTS] Nokia N900 for spare parts & touchscreen (new)

That's $22.56 today. Shipping aside.

OS language is configured in US English and that can be easily changed. As for the keyboard, you must buy one (found some English units at Aliexpress, but...

Re: devel-su and SSHD (developer mode remote connection) on Sailfish

It seems you are :)

Point I: Yeah, this SSHD/password GUI config is kind of surrealist.

II: If I wanted to enable/disable SSHD, probably I would try systemctl start/stop sshd.

III: My 3G...

Jolla care:

I'll keep reporting. My handset is still under warranty, so shipping costs are covered by Jolla Inc.

Re: Jolla phone telephony stopped working

Tried today another SIM card and no luck. Time to write an E-mail to Finland.

Wonder if a factory reset (another one) could do something useful.

Re: Jolla phone telephony stopped working

I used simple scissors and a diagram. And I managed to get a "cut-out" mini-SIM remainder from a telephone shop, for free: they throw out a lot every day.

Re: Jolla phone telephony stopped working

Same issue here, what's exactly a "power-cycle"? A simple reboot? Doesn't work for me :(

This morning, I just switched off my Jolla and removed my TOHKBD in order to extract the SDXC card. Once...

Re: [WIP] LLs Video Player

Great, that worked. I used to think GUI software apps (Jolla Store and Warehouse) performed that "refresh" step automatically, before downloading packets.

Re: Jolla User Experience Thread

I must say I'm quite happy with Saimaa. Quick shortcuts "over" events are great; and so they are media controls into lock screen. No need to keep "settings" app running all the time. I've recovered...

Re: Android on Jolla

Interesting. But BB10 operating system it's not open nor free (no spying condition) and its keyboard is rather simple; programming a simple BASH script in such that thing must be a real pain.

If my Jolla stops working, I would buy another one (from you, why not?) running *this* abandoned OS, over any Android/iOS powered crap. Even if support ended 10 years ago. Even if they offer me a top...

Re: First thoughts about the (pre) Sailfish OS 2.0

Re: First thoughts about the (pre) Sailfish OS 2.0

You're right, lesser upgrades than I expected. Three or four, maybe.

Now I must write a list of "things I must backup in advance":
―List of installed apps.
―Copy of /etc and, maybe, /usr/share.
