Re: Announcement - PR1.3.1 official security update

Well, Internal GPS (not AGPS) seems taking HUGE amount of time for initial sync (10min is not enough in my area). If you do it or do it via AGPS then it works fine on PR1.3.1 or PR1.3 ... until next...

Re: Nokia N9 or Droid Razr or Galaxy Nexus?

Well, I also in the same situation.

Looking into N9 vs SGN/SGS2 and compare feature/price ratio I am torn too - paying 600+ for 1GHz, one core and know that market has 1.5GHz * 2 cores for the...

Re: (POLL) what's you next phone after the n900

Nokia N9 would be OK... even with outdated 1GHz single core CPU... but it is not sold in US.

So - anything with 1.2GHz-1.5GHz dual core Android which works on T-Mobile.

Re: Announcement - PR1.3.1 official security update

Well, I am very surprised - my "Maemo 5" update has 35 (thirty-five !) packages to update. Yes, I am on PR1.3 and no any CSSU or kernel are installed.

In this list most are a clear security stuff...

Re: Which Linux to use on Windows 7 64-bit as dual boot?

I am surprised - if you installed 64bit Windows - you have a VM!
Just go to www.virtualbox.org download it and install and - you have all of them, and simultaneously, and no dual boot mess!

You...

Check this thread -

http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=59374

It is about moving root FS to /home

I run it more than year w/out problem and enjoy GCC/G++/Qt just in N900.

Re: The End is Coming: What do we do next?

The size and complexity of Qt is incomparable with GTK/TK/TCL. Installing good GTK is possible. But fixing Qt bugs... It has some intrinsic design problems and fixing it may be a pain. Especially, if...

Re: The End is Coming: What do we do next?

You calm me, I know about "gtk/qt looks VERY ugly" starting from Fremantle on N900. But not any app has problem here and I was just worrying that they disable a regular X11 interface.

Re: Google buying Motorola - now will MS buy Nokia?

Two variants. Usual case - you get one stock and after sale of one division you have dividends from sale or share price increases because new cache in hands of company.

Re: The End is Coming: What do we do next?

Oh, no! Can you elaborate here - what is a problem with GTK?

If it is not a standard X11 then the attractiveness of N9 falls down rapidly...

Re: Google buying Motorola - now will MS buy Nokia?

Just wait until they divide Nokia and sell divisions separately. Even in Motorola case there was a split - Google bought Moto Mobile only.

Re: Google buying Motorola - now will MS buy Nokia?

Just take a difference - "wants keep" vs "can keep". Intel can keep WP7 because it has a full infrastructure of relationship with M$, a lot of ready decisions "how to do" for Windows etc. For Intel...

Personally I think...

Re: Google buying Motorola - now will MS buy Nokia?

There is an exclusion - Intel. It would definitely not kill WP7 ... and MeeGo too ;)

Re: Google buying Motorola - now will MS buy Nokia?

No, that company has enough weapons in arms to avoid a costly purchase. At least it is definitely not an outsider on mobile market.
