Re: [Announce] MultiMote - A plugin-based remote control application

Finally got round to testing this on my friends GoPro, unfortunately seems to have an issue. None of the commands work and return the following banner message.
The same commands work fine in a...

Re: [Announce] Linguine - News & Politics from around the world

I understand

Well the stock application doesn't have a 'wrench' option. This could be added with a resize widget option.

That's what I was thinking

Re: [Announce] Linguine - News & Politics from around the world

This is a fair point.
Well to even start fixing or re-coding the current one a list of proposed features would be a start. From there you could decided which direction to take?

I suppose I am...

Re: [Announce] Linguine - News & Politics from around the world

I seem to remember trying a few and returning to the stock one.
Well why not fix the stock one so everyone can benefit from the extra features?

Re: [Announce] Linguine - News & Politics from around the world

Sorry to ask a silly question but do we need another RSS feed reader?
I actually like the stock one, it's not perfect but I assume it nothing that couldn't be fixed as the sources (widget and...

Re: N900 battery drain

The N900 it pretty un-brickable, a reflash will always put you straight if it's not a hardware issue.

When using powertop or zzztop it's best to take three samples and compare them to each other....

Hmmm, yes I forgot about the certificate error.

Bit off topic but...

Re: [Announce] cuteTube - A feature-rich YouTube client

Well I am having no trouble with the latest cutetube version 1.10.3.
Would it be possible to push this to testing so we can QA, I believe the current extras version is not working any more.
Thanks.

Re: CSSU and devel-repo / space in app memory

Sounds like a typical case of installing extras-devel software. Some of the stuff there is not optified and bound to leave you in a mess.

Re: [Announce] MultiMote - A plugin-based remote control application

Yep, that's what I did originally. I built it with my scratchbox environment, scp'ed the deb to the device and installed with dpkg.

This is why I was confused it didn't work.

Re: [Announce] MultiMote - A plugin-based remote control application

Ah, this directory only had a VLC folder, ended up moving the three files manually to a new GoPro directory and all seems fine.

I assumed building the GoPro plugin would do that it's self.

Re: [Announce][Fremantle] FlopSwap - Swap GUI Management

That is how ereswap works not flopswap.
Flopswap doesn't do that it is purposely designed to not use the device swap at all.
Not only does it reduce eMMC wear, it also takes half the amount of...

Re: [Announce][Fremantle] FlopSwap - Swap GUI Management

Unfortunately flopswap needs and is designed purposely to use the two linux swap partitions on the card.

It doesn't have anywhere to flop to otherwise ;)

Re: SSH and watchdog

Without a watchdog the device could eat battery until it dies. This wouldn't happen on a desktop.
