I also had the same problem i uninstall the kernel power(i tested v48 and v49 both)

my phone behaves like ur but after removing all custom kernel i got it fixed

My script did not work when i test it.i got notification "script has been exucuted" when ever i test it.


But it not delete anything and when I put this code in xterminal deleted all the stuff
...

the poll is showing that you were right! but i don't think this is because "N900 owners tend to protect the resistive screen."

resistive screen give a vast place to work like we can work on debian with many buttons.

i don't understand when we can use finger on resistive screen then why capacitive? only for multituch? huh!

that thing does not find all hidden files or system files
for xample i search for *.wav files in result there are too many files shown but not system files which is in /usr/share/sounds...
