Question 3G/WiFi autoconnect problems after PR1.2?

Greetings... I tried looking for other threads with the same problem, but for now could not find any.

So, after updating to PR1.2, my N900 seems to be reluctant to connect to any network...

Re: PR 1.2 and, battery life..(Mines phenominal)

Impossible to evaluate just yet, the firmware has only been out for a day. As a pessimist, I'd say don't get your hopes up :)

But guessing based on BatteryGraph, it seems the battery is draining...

Angry Re: Bluetooth BT Send file Problem

Argh! I should have looked up this thread a long time ago...

I was hoping this problem had something to do with Petrovich, and was kind of expecting it to hopefully work with the new firmware. No...

1.1

Has anyone else observed extremely high wakeups with powertop when using 1.1b1? Mine seem to go through the roof (using microb, about 1000, using 1.1b1 about 10000 and more)... even if the browser is...

Re: HTML5 capable web browser?

It's a good thing I was talking about the one that was ported to the N900 :) (it gets 128 points at the moment)

A 100% score with that test doesn't seem possible (or realistic) with free/open...

Re: HTML5 capable web browser?

Based on those numbers, what do you consider is the minimum for a "HTML5 capable web browser"? :)

Also, it would probably help if you told us what benchmark you are talking about. If it is...

Re: Where did DrNokSnes go? (Maemo 5)

You're a couple of months late :). The above information and repository are outdated. The files in the mentioned repository are three months old and newer ones can be found in the almost too much...

Thumbs up Re: ******** Bingo app - Name change?

So you're arguing that a game which has a single goal: to get to shout bulIshit (<-wasn't that clever:) at a meeting and consequently get fired, could have a potential audience of people who lack a...

Re: Who's been eating my battery?

Not normally. In my case the earlier version left a few startup scripts behind after uninstalling, and when I rebooted the N900, those kept trying to run.

The problem seems to now have been...

Re: [feedback request]shortcutd

There seem to be problems with a clean uninstall of shortcutd and proximityd. I was trying to figure out what is eating my battery, and noticed these entries in my syslog after removing shortcutd and...

Re: Who's been eating my battery?

Just a quick update before heading to bed. I installed sysklogd, and there seems to be some light at the end of the tunnel. Too much stuff to go through at this point, but at a quick glance at least...

Wow. That is a huge difference.

I kept staring at the top results a little longer. Seems that at the moment I cut&pasted the previous list, there were a few processes that aren't usually...

Question Who's been eating my battery?

Ok.

I've now been using the N900 for two months without any problems with the battery. Did some testing this past week to see how long I could keep the thing going when connected over wifi (2...

Thumbs up Re: [Rant] Seriously ****** with new virtual keyboard (PR 1.1)

When I heard about the change in PR 1.1 I was sure they had ruined the keyboard. The old VKB had been just fine for years... but I find myself actually liking the new virtual keyboard. I feel that...

Re: Make Posting screen captures mandatory??

Had to vote no. Mandating that a developer has to provide screenshots of an incomplete application (extra-dev) doesn't feel like a great idea. It's good to know about new projects, but there probably...

Re: Firefox Browser is out!!!!

At this rate of progression I'm looking forward to version 2.0 :)

The program still feels incredibly sluggish. After installing it, I had to try three times before the program actually started......

Re: your biggest gripe with the out of box fdeatures

Re: Lowered FPS for video playback?

Yup.

I've noticed this as well. Too bad, because it means I still need te re-encode these files to be able to play them back on the N900. Hopefully the media player application will be able to...

Re: Post your N810 questions here

Of course not. Just makes the device a little less mobile when they move away from the almost ubiquitous miniusb to a more rare microusb. Now you have to take your own cables with you wherever you...
