Re: [Announce] Advanced Geocaching Tool

Thanks, parser update did the trick. Unfortunately geocaching.com changed their web pages again and downloading logs don't work currently.

Re: [Announce] Advanced Geocaching Tool

Thanks again for a great app for Maemo!! I don't seem to get hints downloaded (I'm running 0.8.0.7) so should there be a parser update? I can of course check the link but it is not as handy as...

Re: [Announce] Advanced Geocaching Tool

Thanks for the update and a very nice piece of software! Seems that when downloading details for a cache I do get hints but no logs at all.

Re: PR 1.3 is live now! (Released 25 October 2010)

This was by far the smoothest update ever. No complaints about anything not even requirement to plug in power and so PR 1.3 was in. Apparently there are no big changes but according to the list of...

Re: Use a DSLR? Want remote shutter firing? Try Shutter app...

In my opinion the possibility firing in time intervals would be a huge advantage. I'd like to get time lapse photos without buying some overly expensive Nikon gear.

Re: [Announce] VICE for N900

The virtual keyboard does not seem to include quotation mark ". I can of course use "autostart image" from the menu but typing LOAD "*",8,1 would be quite nostalgic :D

Re: N900 on the road, please share your experience and tips

In my opinion the Ovi maps is one of the weakest points of N900. To not be able to create and save POI's is an elemental feature missing.

Re: Is it now a standard procedure to flash when upgrading firmware? Discuss

Most of the problems I've seen here have been related to NSU. I've upgraded three times OTA and no problems whatsoever. I have evil stuff installed and did only uninstall packages to gain enough...

Re: New firmware? Maemo 5 update 3.2?

Seems to me that the / -footprints of most of the extras-repo packages are already quite small which suggests that most of them are optified. Of course, there are many other well justified reasons to...

Re: New firmware? Maemo 5 update 3.2?

I removed a lots of apps but nothing helped and rootfs did not seem to get any free space. I checked the rootfs usage as follows:

du -xck / |sort -n

and it turned out that apt cache was...

Re: Maemo + Moblin = MeeGo

Re: ssh to N900 fails

When trying to log in over wireless I suggest to check how close to access point your N900 is. Once I moved my phone to the other side of the room my troubles went away. I think N900 is somewhat...

don't see N900 mentioned in the list of certified (or...

Re: I am returning my nokia n900 back to nokia

Fortunately MfE worked out of box for me. I especially like the way how I can keep my private and corporate calendar as separate entities. But if MfE wouldn't not have worked I still would get access...

Re: What have been your 'wow' moments with the N900 so far?

Stellarium was the first real wow.

Re: PR1.1 and unusual battery drain (not wifi related)

I had lower than normal charge cycle after the update (battery lasted ~12h). But after letting the battery exhaust and then recharge I got ~48 h with moderate usage (many calls, few sms, browsing,...
