Re: Alternative history: What if Jolla never existed?

Today, my daughter asked me to translate a page of her French book for her. So I held up my phone, with Google Translate open, and pressed the camera button. There was the page, but the words were...

Re: Alternative history: What if Jolla never existed?

WebOS was another awesome concept with a mediocre execution.

In MY fictional world, Android didn't fork the kernel, and they used a standard C library, forcing all the binary hardware driver creators to write drivers for the standard kernel. They also used a...

I think disruption could only occur through a revolutionary form factor or revolutionary functionality. The most likely avenue to chase in this area is the Internet Of Things; controlling and talking...

Re: Easy Debian Fremantle Beta Testing

I found that devices that are enabled in Maemo before you start Easy Debian are available in the chroot also. I confess that I don't know how to use the GPS in Linux / Maemo, but it should be...

Re: Easy Debian Fremantle Beta Testing

I have posted sulu's images on qole.org, along with their MD5SUMs.
I discovered, after I had uploaded them, that the jessie image isn't really ready yet, so I'll just post the wheezy link here:

Re: What have former N900 owners moved to?

I would have bought a Jolla if they had been made available in North America. I preordered my Jolla tablet, so at least I'm keeping the flame alive.

Meanwhile, I've been very happy with my Nexus...

First of all, THANK YOU!
Secondly, you are such a tease, just dropping a mysterious image with no documentation!
Does this one fix the ssu.ini?
Does it have the battery workarounds?...

Re: Porting Sailfish to N9 (or other)

If you want a working store, with easily-updatable version numbers, install R3 and put in that ssu.ini ... Now of course with the...

Re: Porting Sailfish to N9 (or other)

You need to put in the new ssu.ini on the R3 image to fix the 'upgrade to 1.0.0.5' problem, and also get store working.

Re: Porting Sailfish to N9 (or other)

That's good news!

And maybe we need to shim the meego gst interfaces to respond (at...
