Re: Tear 0.3.1 - a would be beta WebKit based browser

Hey, Bundyo:
1. Thank you... profusely.
2. Is it just me, or does the update process overwrite one's userstyles.css file? If so, a warning to those who'll need to make a backup copy...

Re: How to install programs w/o being connected to the net?

You can do what you're suggesting in limited fashion; Application Manager will open .deb files saved to SD. Your best bet, though, would be to invest some small amount of cash into a wireless access...

Re: Tear 0.3.1 - a would be beta WebKit based browser

@LaughingMan... I'll have to dispute that; I can make some end-of-tweet links open, but not all.
@xiojason: even keeping a Tear window open doesn't prevent a 2nd instance from launching when opening...

Re: Tear 0.3.1 - a would be beta WebKit based browser

"open x in a browser" command in mauku works, the command to open a link does not. In addition, I'm getting two instances of Tear open each time: the desired page in one, my homepage in the other. On...

Sweet, qwerty! Another good text editor for Unix guys under Windows is WinVi32. It's a very solid port of vi for the Windows platform and can handle very large files without crashing (unlike...

Re: Knots 2 - easy media streaming for most operating systems

Where do you set it? Yes; it's that bad IMHO. Maybe it's just me, but I have a thing about stretched and squashed video. And, as we all know, the N8x0 screen is neither fish nor fowl: its...

Re: Knots 2 - easy media streaming for most operating systems

Re: Knots 2 - easy media streaming for most operating systems

Cleaned up and installed new Windows server package; this seems much more stable: crashes seem to have stopped, but media indexing still seems buggy: are we relying on a specific version of VLC? I'm...

Re: Knots 2 - easy media streaming for most operating systems

Heh. "Totally fed up" is close to describing the situation, but that's the way these things go. I'm a stay@home dad busily raising a four-year-old, but if I can sneak some time in to debug, I'll...
