Re: Google+ invitation requests

The log jam seems to be breaking up. I got my invite from corduroysack (++) two days ago -- several hours after he initiated it by including me in a stream message. Since then, every attempt to join...

Re: Panucci Podcast and Audiobook Player

Sounds lovely. That keeps both main use cases right up front and handy. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Re: Panucci Podcast and Audiobook Player

Let me echo pelago's plea. My only use of Panucci (and I have used it a lot) is precisely as a "Podcast and Audiobook Player" and as such, I load (long) audio files into a directory, listen to them...

Re: [Announce] Reverstris Lite 1.2 (DEB available)

Re: Conboy - Note Taking Application (Tomboy clone)

Being cautious, I mv'ed the directory to .conboy.bak and created a new .conboy directory with the same permissions. The result was not as hoped. I have 91 note files. The new sync downloaded only 8...

Re: Samsung Galaxy Tab Info Thread

I'm spoiled by the N900. This whole "rooting" business is outside my experience. I'm clear on the concept. It's the practicalities that are hazy.

I've seen dark warnings about rooting android...

Re: How much are you willing to pay for apps and games

I paid $30 for an excellent datebook app for my Palm many years ago (and counted myself lucky for what I got).

I would do it again for the N900 in a heartbeat. As much as I love this device, the...

Re: N900 in Japan?

I'm in Kyoto this month (from the U.S.). And I had hoped to be able to report about using a rented SoftBank SIM in the N900.

I had reserved a SIM card with SoftBank to pick up at the airport. But...

It means "white bear".

Re: Lost N810 Stylus

The N900 stylus will fit in the N810. The "head" looks a little mis-matched in the opening when it's all the way in. But it does fit all the way in, it doesn't stick out, and the inner friction clip...
