Re: upload to Flickr doesn't work anymore?

Flickr recently changed its API to switch to https only. Some of the URLs have changed, so I'm not surprised that it broke your upload...

Re: anyone wanna try to get owncloud qt sync client going

Hi all,

sorry for being absent so long! But I didn't have time to spend on that project, unfortunately.
However, the (little) work I've done is on gitorious, you are very welcome to continue it...

Re: so I got banned from Nokia Support Discussions...

You thought wrong; Linnea is a reference to the flower, not Linné - not directly at least. And even if his classification of races looks a bit ill today (but not so ill in his time!), he is mostly...

Re: Linux update that will support arm

No, not at all. Linux has support for arm since years. You misunderstood the change in the 3.7 kernel: it simply begins to unify the various arm architecture supported by the kernel, so that one...

Re: starting microb browser without the bookmarks window

You guys like it the hard way... Why not calling the appropriate dbus method to start a new browser ?

dbus-send --system --type=method_call --dest="com.nokia.osso_browser" --print-reply...

Re: Maemo repos are broken?!

I also encountered this problem: simply download the .deb of busybox-power on your N900, and install it with
dpkg -i busybox-power-blabla.deb

Then it was ok for me.

[Announce][Alpha!] WebDAV synchronizing daemon

Hi everyone !

Here is a new application for our beloved old N900: QDyncDAV. This application synchronizes one or several WebDAV folders against their local folders equivalent on the N900.

Re: N900 looking for a new home [willing to donate]

Proposing it to the TMO competitions seems quite a good idea :) The N900 is still really attractive for people who want much more than a smartphone.

Re: POLL. How many apps is minimum for you to buy JOLLA

If Jolla is done the right way, it will be awfully easy to port all those QML & Qt from N900/N9/Nemo to their OS. If it reuses what has been done these last years, it will quickly be able to support...

Re: [NEEDED] Appealing ideas for next CSSU

@seanmcken: please, repeating again and again won't make it happen by magic. Make sentences, and read some documentation about what you are talking about: qt5 is not yet available for N9, and QML is...

Re: 2012 Coding Competition

One question about the "Beginner" entry: does a beginner compete in both the chosen category and the Beginner category at the same time ? Or only in the Beginner category ?

Re: [Announce] Coding competition starts June 11th, we want your application!

Oh, yes, sure I do. Syncing between one folder on local side and one folder on server side has to be there. And it will :)

I'm glad to hear that my project is still a need ! :p

Re: [Announce] Coding competition starts June 11th, we want your application!

@Khertan: if you are talking about MeeDav, I saw this project, but it looks like it only allows you to browse your WebDav files. It doesn't do a local sync (like Dropbox), which is what I would like...

Re: [Announce] Coding competition starts June 11th, we want your application!

I'm in too, I have 3 months to write a sync client for Owncloud (and probably for any WebDAV too). The intent, in a first step, will be to have an efficient sync client with a minimal UI. I'll...

Re: 2012 Coding Competition

This begins to sound really great ! I can't wait for the opening of the competition :)

By the way, does the new "new app" rule mean that I may begin right know to investigate about a new app ?

Re: 2012 Coding Competition

Like Estel, i would drop "significant updates to existing applications" too, IMHO.

For the ports, it's quite difficult to have an opinion, as the work required can vary a lot - porting a Qt app...

I may be interested in participating here; I currently only own a N900, but I'm not a beginner in Linux or programming. I may contribute in various ways to this community :)
Is there a place where...
