I suppose not only the repos are broken but I can't even get the upgrade file to download..says it will take 300 minutes. I suppose everybody in the world is trying to upgrade their N800's at the...

update to OS2008
I'm not totally ignorant..but how do you update to OS2008? I use the software updater but it asks for a file on my computer. Any help?

RE: From what I understand, AGPS relies on cell tower communication not wifi..so since the N810 is not a phone..it will not allow for AGPS

I updated...restored my complete backup with no problems. I did have to reinstall Gmail..Rhapsody..Maemo maps, but they both saw my sign in settings..so they were "saved" somehow

I have a Belkin wireless access point-not a router, and all I do is plug it into the hotel's ethernet connection and I'm online. I don't configure it or do a thing and it has always worked fine

If that is true about the Iphone being available unlocked and unbranded..well that changes things considerably. I gave away my N800 to a family member when it outgrew whatever it was that I got it...
