Rather than the contacts, I use the phone app and use the 'select contact' button and press the appropriate alphabet group like 'STU'. Easier than from the contacts.

Are you sure the cd didn't succeed? Where did you intend to change directory to? Just before the $ will show the place where you are currently in the file system. If you are in /home/user it should...

Windows does not detect ext2 file system. This is the reason why /home/user/MyDocs is VFAT so that OS's like Windows can access it in mass storage mode.

In PR 1.3, the LED flases red if the front camera is turned on. Turn on the front camera (maybe with the mirror app) and see if the LED glows red.

I got the update notification, it told me to install OTA and use WLAN. After downloading the 90MB it tells me I didn't have enough battery charge remaining so try it again by connecting the charger....

I think that was the case even before PR 1.3. Only wireless connections can be added/modified. For other GPRS/3G connections fAPN was used. It still works after 1.3.

Yes, it does have an uncanny ability to correctly predict the distro you're using. BTW, I have a lot of respect to the guys who use Slackware. I did try it once but found it was a little over my head...
