Re: How do I add a citty to Home city list?

Arise, dead thread!

Now that's done, this is a great point. Why have a destination city if the only way to see that time is to open up the clock app? Makes it pretty useless once you're there. ...

Re: Measuring the N8x0

I've been considering getting an N810 for the nicer screen... Roger, are you sure that didn't play into your desire for a new N810 at all?

I think I could deal with not having full size SD cards...

Re: SSU 5.2008.43-7 is available

Updated smoothly, but I (obviously) lost my screen rotation... Which I generally didn't use anyway (except when masquerading as an iphone for mobile gmail), so I'm not too upset.

Re: Navit GPS (and libgarmin) for os2008

I tried Navit yesterday and found that, while it did display my location correctly on the OSM map I downloaded (a 30mb map .bin from OSM for my area), it really hogged the CPU and was very slow...

Re: Watch phone that supports DUN

I considered a cellular watch using bluetooth for everything as a new phone, but I really wanted to get UMTS/HSDPA/3G network compatibility. I haven't actually worn a watch regularly for almost a...

Re: How would you change Maemo.org Downloads and Application Manager?

I would prefer to be able to install and upgrade all apps through the Application Manager. I am not familiar with AppStore, but here are some improvements I would want to application manager:

Re: bluetooth modem conection

Yes, there should be quite a few posts about it on the site. Many people use bluetooth connections to their phones for mobile access using the DUN profile, and I think PAN might be supported now...

Re: Advanced Backlight Statusbar Applet

LCARS version of the icon would be pretty cool. I used to run that on my 770, and was considering updating the N800 since the latest version can uninstall.

This backlight applet is awesome, I can...

Re: Problems with 770, OS2007HE _ LCARS theme

I think this was pointed out as an OS2007 issue by the creators of the LCARS theme... Yup, http://synthesize.us/LCARS_PADD has a bright red warning about not being able to restore the original...

You do need to ensure that your new phone can handle the...

Re: IT + quiver = very nice digital picture frame

That reminds me, I keep planning on taking an old LCD monitor, laying glass over it and wall-mounting it. Instant "magic mirror"; reflective when off but GUI access, photo display, web camera feed,...

Re: reset 770 to factory conditions?

One problem with this is that flashing the device doesn't reset the device lock code. I'd be sure to manually change that before selling the device.

I bought a 770 off ebay in Jan 07 that I've...

Re: Fm radio - n800 - os2008 ?

I don't recall a video option in the OS2007 version of the camera app. I agree that it would be nice, would at least give another use of the camera, since I don't know anyone else with a tablet that...
