You need an adapter that ties the D+ and D- (TX/RX) lines together on the device side (but doesn't just ground them).

I, too, find this behavior annoying. I'd like to be able to pop out of the video player and actually read what the new incoming SMS, IM, or email is, for example, while the audio from the file...

supl.nokia.com doesn't work very well for a lot of people on T-Mobile. Luckily, it seems that Google's server does (http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=37256).

Setting Location server to supl.google.com and rebooting got me a location fix.
I haven't tried yet, but using supl.google.com:7276 may be better as an Android engineer recommended it...

Yes, it would save you from having to manually make edits to the one GPRS entry repeatedly.

My settings are identical.
I have tried both via 3G and wifi with no change in apparent behavior.
It may be a region thing, but it seems pretty widespread. The technicians I spoke to...

I've spoken with T-Mobile twice now. Unfortunately, there is no "error" to report that I've found, and a similar service on other devices (Google Maps on the G1) works fine.
