Have you reboot?
Did you edit your picture size?
Mine is 450*422.

so open the terminal on your N9,
then write : "devel-su" and as password "rootme".

After that, write :
nano...

For me after editing the file, it looks like that :

LockScreen MImageWidgetStyle#LockScreenLowPowerModeOperatorLogo {
padding-top: 0;
padding-bottom: 0;
padding-left: 0;
...
