And it seems that if Skype contact is coming online it is ok, but when there is skype and msn contact status messages at the same time, then it does...

I like this theme but the new dataconnection icon does not just fit there. It looks like wifi switcher icon and is confusing for me:)

I tested Jabber with msn gateway. Started it after charging completed.
Jabber Idle 9,5h on 2G: Battery 96% down to 86% = 10% in 9,5h = 1,052% per hour. (that was "lshal | grep battery")

As I know the picture you saw was a preproduction firmware and this feature is not present in prod firmware.
and "lshal|grep remaining_time" should give you remaining active use time in seconds,...
