Re: New N900 firmware 3.2010.02-8 released today (16 Feb)

Go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/bigscreen on your N900. Don't know where the idea it's an application came from.

Re: Using OneDotZero with N900 and Windows PC over Wifi - DIY

I had a similar experience on both Ubuntu 9.10 and 10.04. Only a small box in the top left had anything rendered, the rest was blank.
What I could see did react to the mouse and N900 though. Also...

Re: Mxit N900 pidgin plugin

Files in MyDocs can't have permissions due to it being a FAT partition. Try moving it to /home/user.

Re: NDS emu request

Your best bet for speed is someone with OpenGL ES knowledge. As it is now, the CPU is trying to balance emulating two processors and all the rendering. I'd contact the developer first though as he'll...

Re: [Request] N900 Bluetooth Identifier

I had the same issue as above, so I trimmed the whitespace and took the line breaks out and it works.

Re: rotate phone dialog to landscape button

Having the keyboard out in the phone application locks it to landscape until you close it.

Re: [Request] N900 Bluetooth Identifier

Just leave the bluetooth name set to Nokia N900. Or if you're feeling a little creative you could add N900 onto whatever it's currently set to.

I had the same problem earlier. Disabling extras-devel and reinstalling solved it for me.

Re: Pidgin - Facebook chat plugin

apt-get install libjson-glib-1.0-0 That will install libjson and save all the messing around.
http://maemo.org/packages/ is a good place to see what's available in the repositories.

I've just tried generating my own install files and got the same result. Even after having a thorough read through the documentation here (http://hildon-app-mgr.garage.maemo.org/install-devel.html)....

Could you check the package details for the installed version?

Application Manager -> Uninstall -> desmume -> Details
or
dkpg -l | grep desmume

Re: NDS emu request

apt-get install libgl1

One GUI is just GTK (desmume in a terminal), the other is Glade (desmume-glade). There's also desmume-cli from the command line.
There are few...
