After experimenting with changing my MAC, I still get the message so I guess it's normal behaviour.

Thanks for the replies.

I ran HealthChecker and I can see the dead pixels when the screen is red, blue or blank.

I bought the phone online so it might be a pain to return... unless they'll do...

Hi, I bought a new N900 and have a couple of problems. I wonder if anyone can tell me if they've had similar problems?

1. There are couple of dead pixels (or a very small object under the screen)....
